GoogleFresh Overview

The core functionality of GoogleFresh is to provide a web-interface between the Sales Distribution Company and their Suppliers to display, share and exchange information relating to Supplier Orders that are created from a Buyer Order.

The outcome of this data transfer is to synchronise the databases involved in the sales transactions including the status changes of the product between the sender and receiver to the final payment of the product. For example, ordered, confirmed, despatched, and completed.

GoogleFresh can either be hosted as a GoogleFresh Web-service that is hosted on the on the main server at the business premises, and/or hosted on the GoogleFresh Web hosted server. With GoogleFresh hosted on the business server, a network of databases can be specifically configured for the business to search and assign product for a buyer order. See

There are two modes of operation with GoogleFresh

a.      Outsourced Supplier with no HTM database connection

The Supplier does not have HTM installed. The Supplier is provided with their own login from HTM Sales Manager to view their orders, change the status of orders and print delivery advices, tax invoices and buyer pallet cards.

b.      Outsourced and Ex-stock Supplier with HTM database connection

The Supplier has HTM installed, and has the GoogleFresh web service installed. The distribution Company has access to search for unconsigned stock in the Supplier database, and create a supplier order into the Supplier database. The Supplier is provided with their own login from HTM Sales Manager to view their orders, change the status of orders and print delivery advices, tax invoices and buyer pallet cards.

GoogleFresh Functionality Overview

The following requirements are necessary to provide login facilities for GoogleFresh Suppliers

  1. GoogleFresh Suppliers with HTM – Packer

To enable the Distribution Company to search HTM-Packer databases, a static IP address is required for the computer/server that is hosting the HTM database. The Supplier’s ISP provider can offer this Static IP address. Generally, a static IP address is only available with broadband connections. HTM GoogleFresh is installed as a separate application to HTM - Packer on the client PC that is hosting the Internet gateway.
