Distributors and Marketing Groups
Distributors are a growing group of organisations who centrally manage and co-ordinate the sale of product through agents. The distributor is usually acting on behalf of a group of growers and/or packers, and is not a market agent as such, although they may facilitate direct-to-customer sales on a purely commission basis.
A distributor has similar needs to a central packhouse, but with the emphasis on reporting and communication between growers.
Harvest TraceMaster Sales Manager
HTM Sales Manager integrates buyer orders and optional pack house management operations to distribute and sell product at the palletized level as a single order/sale. Buyer Orders can be assigned as a combination of ex-stock and outsourced, providing the business the opportunity to purchase product from other producers to meet the buyer order requirements and efficiently manage the product distribution from those locations.
HTM Sales Manager has a web-based module, called GoogleFresh, which offers businesses that operate independently in multiple locations, the ability to connect to remote databases and integrate business activities such as ordering, searching for available stock and distributing product to various buyer order delivery locations.
